To all potters, Utah County has a fund raiser for the Food and Care Coalition. It  is very similar to the Empty Bowls event. We are in our third year and are continually working on ways to thank all the potters for their donations. Last year we received over 400 bowls, thanks to all who contributed. This year we are starting something new, there will be 3 awards given in two category levels . The two levels are "student", which is comprised of high school participants and anyone who is just starting in clay, and our "professional" level, which is all other levels of potters. The 3 professional winners will receive prizes and will be the spotlight art work for next year. Also those winners, I believe, will have an article done in the Utah Valley Magazine with their work. This is a great opportunity to get your pottery into the public eye, as this event coincides with Provo City's downtown Gallery Stroll. All bowls to be considered for the award judging need to be brought to or sent to the Food and Care Coalition by FRIDAY FEB 28th. The dinner is MARCH 6 at the new Covey Arts Center located on Center St. in Provo. Come and experience a great night out with dinner and lots of fine art to view.
