Best on smoooth white clay like B-Mix or Porc. because if the reduction does not work perfectly, the glaze is high gloss clear (so a nice white on white clay.) Often I get the clear (white) with flecks and flashes of bright red. This color combo makes it great for x-mas presents.
SHINSHA High Gloss Bright Red - Red Purple Interesting color variations. Never flat color up close, even though it appears thouroughly red from any distance. ^10 reduction

Copper Red Cone 9-10 redux from Giodano Andrew Voeks of Hawaii NOTE: They dont normally fire with gas in Hawaii because it is too expensive to ship over. Reduction is either from an electric kiln with combustables added (yes replacement elements are cheeper than propane) or in wood fire. So results in a gas kiln may vary.
