Last week I was cleaning and found an old teapot. It was made as part of a class I was teaching at Pioneer Craft House. Everyone made all the parts for a teapot (body, spout, lid, handle) with a predetermined measurement for the hight of the handle, and the size of the lid/spout holes. Any color stoneware was allowed. We then put all the parts in 4 piles and numbered them Everyone drew a number for a body, spout, lid and handle. We then assembled the parts, no matter how mismatched.
The results were fun and funny. They were also a good lesson on why overall design is necessary.
The great memories from this pottery game made me wonder if there are other fun things to do with a class or group. Lets hear 'um!
