I am hoping to find some more ash glaze recipes.  I know Ash is not a color, like the other topics listed on this website, but it is a distictive type of glaze.  I have collected ash glazes since I first found Jim Brown Blue.  Beware - ash glazes run.  protect your kiln shelves.


Jim Brown Blue ^10 reduction

drippy ash glaze with blue-green background.


whiting 28%

custer feldspar 60%

epk 12%

add cobalt carb 0.75%, rutile 4%
