Classic Alligator

Sandy finish in multicolors with dominant green/blue.

Tip:  After closing in the reduction chamber tightly for 5-10 minutes, open to re-light the flame and carefully watch the flashes of color develop.  When a flash of color is nice, douse with water to preserve it.  Not recommended for delicate work.

A thick coat will create a aligator skin texture.  A thin coat has a sand texture, but may not develop full color.

Alligator

Colemenite or Gertsley Borate   40

Bone Ash                              20

Nepheline Syenite                   10

Copper Carb                          10

NOTE:  These same ingredients in the ratio of 40, 30, 10, 10 make the classic Patina Raku glaze.
